Q: Will you also be opening mod apps? I'd very interested in helping out.

A: We are glad to hear that you’re interested in helping!
In short, yes, we will be opening mod applications. We will only be looking for a Graphic Design Mod and the form to apply will go live around the same time as Artist Applications! 🙌

Q: Will traditional art be allowed?

A: Yes! Traditional art will be accepted, however, just be sure that you’re able to upload/scan high resolution images that we can use in the zine.

Q: Are you going to open the writer role? Or is this just artist and merch artists? Thank you and hope you have a great day!

A: Thank you for your question!
During the development of this zine us mods decided to not have writers due to our concern over the lack of material for them. However, if enough people are interested then we are more than open to adding writers to the zine!

We will be making a Twitter poll for people to vote on, and depending on the results we will move forward from there!

We also have other future projects in mind where we plan on involving writers, so if this zine isn’t a fit for you then please feel free to look into our other projects as they come out!

Q: Are we only drawing characters who are already wear suits or can we draw any character that we think would look good in one?

A: You’re free to draw any character, regardless of if they already wear a suit or not, as long as the character comes from an anime/video game/manga!
But wouldn’t it be more fun to dress someone up for a change of scenery? 👀

Q: Hello, I have a question !
Do the characters that we have to propose in the interest check already have to wear costumes in their universe, or not ?
I'm sorry if that was already said somewhere >< !

A: The characters that you propose do not need to canonically be in suits already! You can put anyone in a suit as long as they come from an anime/video game/manga.
Our theme revolves around the fashion aspects of suits rather than costumes or super hero outfits. Think of formal events such as business meetings or a party, or perhaps even just daily suit attire that people wear on the go! Any time period any style, just as long as it fits into that aspect of suits! 🙌

Q: hello! I was wondering if we can sell the art we do for the zine as a print after the zine is finished?

A: Of course! You are more than welcome to sell the art that you have contributed for the zine in any way you’d like.

We do ask, however, that you don’t sell or show your full pieces until one month after preorders have been delivered! A more clear date for when that is will be posted, for contributors, the closer we get to that time.

Q: For merch artists, is it on them to make the merch or just the art for it?

A: Thank you for your question!
Just like with Page Artists, Merch Artists will only be making the art!
Us mods will be handling the formatting as well as the physical/digital side of production for the zine! 🙌

Q: Shiro Ogami (would his beast form be allowed as long as he's in a suit?)

A: Yes! You are more than welcome to draw a character in their canon beast form if they so have one; just as long as you put them in a suit! 👍

For this zine we ask that you create something new to contribute! ✨

We are aware that many individuals may have already done works revolving around this theme, however, we will not be allowing previously made pieces to be showcased within the zine!

Q: Is it alright to have genderbent (canonically female to male) characters in the zine? Doubt genderbent characters would be allowed since they'll be considered "fan characters", but I just want to ask.

A: Thank you for asking!
You are correct, we will not be allowing genderbent (canon female to genderbent male) characters within this zine.

Q: Hi, I was wondering if it would be okay to apply if I'm currently 17, but will turn 18 soon? I turn 18 on November 11th, so I'd be 18 at the time of actually working on the zine at all (if I would be accepted), but I just wanted to check if that would be okay or not. I hope so though, I'm very interested in participating ^^!

A: We are glad that you are so interested in our zine! 🙌
Yes, that would be okay! If you are turning 18 around the beginning of the work period then that will be alright!

Please just be sure that when you apply to say something; such as when you are turning 18; in the ‘Questions/Concerns/Notes’ section so we know!

Q: Are minors allowed to apply for the general suits zine? I know they can’t apply for the NSFW mini-zine, for obvious reasons, but would it be alright to apply for the main one, since there’s not really supposed to be NSFW there?

A: In short, yes minors are allowed to apply for the general zine! We do require that you be 16+ though. 👍

This age limit was recently updated due to the zine becoming a For-Charity project.

A: Artist applications are open until 11:59PM PST on Nov. 6th! Our schedule can be found in our card as well for more information!

Q: Since the zine is now for charity how will contributors be compensated? Will they get physical copies?

A: All contributors will receive a PDF copy of the zine regardless of sales. In the event that we are able to break even contributors will be provided a free physical copy of the zine; and merch if possible; as well!
If we are unable to break even then contributors will be able to purchase the zine/merchandise at production cost. 🙌

Q: hello!! will you be allowing trans hcs - like a character who may be trans in canon, or may not be trans in canon - will you allow such interpretations within the zine, or only whoever is canonly a cis male?

A: Thank you for your question!
Trans headcanons are allowed, however, the character must originally either be trans male/masc or cis male in canon!
Otherwise that would go too much into the genderbent character aspect that we will not be allowing within the zine.

Q: Hi there! What did you mean by Credit Name in the application? And can the portfolio have the same fics as the 3 links we give? Thank you!

A: "Credit Name" is the name you want to have put into the zine when it is created/the name you want to go by when the zine goes live, so that people know who you are. It can be your username or whatever name you usually put when you post your works; it is your public contributor name!
Yes, your portfolio can have the same 3 links as the ones you provide in the samples, however, we would prefer that you also provide other examples in your portfolio so that we can see more of what you are capable of! ✨

Q: Do you have to have discord if you want to be a contributor?

A: Yes, it is required for contributors to have a discord. That way all participants are able to keep up to date with the zine, as well as be in direct contact with the mods.
All interactions will be taking place in the discord and any updates to the zine will be posted there first!

Q: Can the piece for the zine include more than one character?

A: Yes, your piece can of course have more than one character in it! Just be sure that the character you are assigned is the main focus!

Q: Can the character be a canon minor? Either I leave him like that or I age him up? Not for the NSFW zine of course

A: In short, yes you can choose to do a minor in the Main SFW zine as long as they are 14+ in canon!

You are able to age up the character as well, however, the 14+ canon age requirement still applies. If a character is canonically 13 or below, and you want to age them up, then that will not be allowed.
For the NSFW Mini-Zine the same rules apply, but the characters must be at least 18+ in canon.
